A Strange Suicide
Particulars have been received of the remarkable suicide of a lady .who shot aerself with a revolver -whilst sitting on the public promenade. at Bucharest, dying immediately afterwards. The lady is described as : being" ' well dressed about thirty years of age, and haying the appearance of a i ole. Nothing was found upon her but a letter addressed to M. Hitrovo, the Russian Minister, in which she said Bucharest was the only placo ■wh re she was unkn< wn, and that she had come there to die. It has since transpired that she was a memb( r of the Nihilist society which had planned the assassination of the Czar. Lola were cast as towho h)ul n committh(ifouldeed,an tie lot fell upon liar. She was sent from Switzerland, to carry put the instructions of the society. Seeing that she had no other lneaiis of escaping from her odious destiny, she preferred to take hnr own life. No clue to her identity has been discovered, and Bhe has been interred at the cost of the Russian Government.
