STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK REPORT. .■•■"'•. . Bulls. August 17- - We yarded close on 5000 sheep at Bulls last Tuesday and a .few head of cattle, but owing to the dry weather up to thai date the price of sheep fell considerably at the sale, and though we " quitted most of the sheep the prices as compared with, recent ruling rates were decidedly in favorof the purchasers. There were an excel- •• lent class of sheep yarded, aud to that may be afctribated our being able to quit them at prices we did. Cattle sold a little; more freely, but at still low rates. W* quote : — 18-mo steers, 29/-; 18 mo heifers, 15/Sheep.— Fat ewes, 8/- ; ewes in lamb, 7/3 to 9/8 ; fat sheep, 9/- ; woolly hoggets 8/9 ; shorn, .6/11 to.Bf- .; \ empty ewes, 6/6.
