Mr Walkley, of the Commercial Hotel, Palmerston, has a large stock of wines, spirits, &c, on hand at wholesale prices. Transfer of section 14, block VII survey district of Apiti, from John Strawbridge Samuel Strawbridge is advertised to-day. The returning officer for the Manchester road Board, H. L. Sherwill, Esq., gives notice that Mr James Purkiss has been elected unoppos d for No. 2 ward. Tonders are invited by Mr Norman Charlton for felling 100 acres of bush in one or two lots. The new consignment of lollies and sweetmeats just received by Mr Peter Thomson are far superior to anything of the kind yet seen in FeUding. Further particulars in advertisement on Saturday. A sale of fruit trees, &c., from the famous Caledonian Nursery of Mr Mitchinson, of New Plymouth, to take place on Wednesday the 21st instant, is advertised by Messrs Stevens and Gorton,, who also publish to-day Ust of entries for their Bale at Awahuri on the 20th instant.
