Horrible Death of a Drunkard

I PEE UNITED PBESB ASBOCI ITTON ] Waipawa, This DayAn inquest was held at Ormondville yesterday on the body of a man named Hiram Sydney Smith found/in a water hole near Norsewood. The evidence disclosed the deceased and a man named Gibßon started drinking on the 16th of last month and kept it up to the 30th, or as loner as the deceased had money. Then Gibson left him to wander about aimlessly in the horrors. It is supposed he made his way to Springwater where he was found and died there. From letters on the body it appears deceased received £50 since February in two sums from his wife and mother, who are in the Old Country. A verdict of found dead was returned and a rider added censuring Gibson for his base conduct.
