Twelve thousand armed rebels from Fukein attacked the villages at Nakoa and Ohunglok, and slaughtered 400, l>esi ies a large number of women and children. Three thousand troops have been Bent to the disturbed districts. The Chinese riots which occurred at Bankok have been quelled. They were caused by members of the secret societies. During the riot 20 persons were killed and 150 wounded, while 900 were taken prisoners.
