Feilding Drag Hounds

Last Wednesday the above hounds again met at Potatau Farm, where about 30 members were mjst hospitably entertained by the genial and popular host, Mr John Saxon. The weather was inure suitable for a picnic than a hunting day, but despite of this we had one of the best runs it has bsen my lot to enjoy this season. The line of country was pretty well the same as our last, being over Messrs Faxon's Wilson's, Gooden's Hensen's property, to which gentlemen the members of the Feilding, Hunt Club's best thanks are due for allowing us to hunt twice over their property in one season. I was extremely sorry to see one lady, who has been riding to hounds bo well this season, get a very nasty fall which might have ended seriously. The first flight- men were Mr Humphries on Tit Bit, Mr Prendergast on Hard Times, Mr Clissold on Wairiri, Mr J. E. Henry on Kohi, Mr Lovejoy on Neck or Nothing, Mr Ward on Cossack, the two sons of Mr J. G. Wilson on their well known hunters, the huntsman Roake on Xonini, and Messrs French and J. iStuart on horses Ido not know. I hear this is likely to be the last run this season, but hope our masters will try and arrange another one or two after the steeeplechases. On and Off.
