George Thomas and Co. report produe* jsricv'B as follows: — A further reduction has taken place this week in oatmeal, which we now quote at £14 15/- and £15 per ton. Potatoes are still firm at last quotations, viz., £5 for Oatnaru, and £4 15/- for other descriptions. Onions are scarce and readily command £18 to £20 per ton. Oaten sheaf and straw chaff are; slightly improved, and rule at £5 and £3 15/- respectively. Other lines are without alteration, and we merely repeat our quotations of last week. Oats, bright feed samples, 3/3 to 3/4; Danish and Tartarian 3/2 to 3/3, Tartarian seed, 3/6 ; whole fowls wheat, 3/7 to 3/8; broken samples, 3/3 to 3/4; maize, 3/10 to 3/11 ; feed harley, 2/10; seed do, 3/6; beans, 3/11; peas, 3/11; roller flour, £10 15/-; stone do^ £10 per ton ; cheese, 4£d to s^xl, according to quality; hams and bacon, 8d ; fresh butter, lOd ; salt do8d per lb ; eggs are becoming more* plentiful, and values have receded to--1/6 per dozen; fowls' 2/9 to 3/-; ducks, 3/6; geese, 5/6; turkeys, 6/per pair. Fruit — There is a good demand for apples, which at yesterday* auction" realised 12/- per case for eating, and 14/- for cooking descriptions ; a few cases pears fetched -17/S---per case.
