He stood one Season at tlie Stud, viz : in 1887, the result being a very promising lot of>youngsters. As will toe seen by his tabulated pedi« gree, Lochnagar shows a powerful combination of stout winning strains, notably The Marquis, Stockwell, The Baron, Irish Birdcatcher, Cinizelli, Touchstone, Pocahonlas, Melbourne, Glencoe, Bay Middleton, Fisherman, Emelius, Fhing Dulch'man, The Colonel, Wbalebone, Waxy, Pot Bos., Eclipse, &c. The Proprietors confidently expect to see this grandly bred son of The Painter as worthily represent his Sire at the Stud, as their otiier great horse Somnus has done to perpetuate the name of the mighty Traducer.
