COWPER'S PATKNT TREE AND ROOT DESTROYER, For the thorough extermination of Trees, Roots, and Scrub, of all descriptions. BY the inoculation of live timber with this compound, the whole tree, in. eluding the roots, is reduced to a highly inflammable and rotten state, and will burn readily right down to the roots. Dead limber and stumps can also be destroyed with it. The use of it is simplicity itself, and but little labor required. Time occupied for full destruction of a large tree, about three months ; stumps and dead timber, one month. It has been tested with unqualified success on 6J.0 acres, the whole area being cleared and now under crop. Directions for Use. — In a large tree, a hole one inch in diameter and six inches deep should be bored down in the trunk towards the heart, fil' with the compound • — about one ouneo will be required — plug the hole securely and make airtight. Cork or stiff clay will do. For smaller r trees a hole of less diameter nnd a smaller " quantity of the compound will suffice Price, 5/6 per lb ; in 4lb and lib tins, and in druns of 501 b. The cheapest, quickest, simplest, and surest method of clearing land. The largest trees can be destroyed at the cost of a few pence.
