Prices were very firm, and tho advances was fully maintained. A shipment of South American mutton and fruit, preserved by a new method, rotted m the tropice. The outsides appeared intact, but on opening the specimens they were to be worthless. The company assert the experiment was not properly carried out, the instructions not being followed. Tney declare a similar shipment from India has been successful. Mutton has been shipped to Australia us an experiment. Juno 20. Wool is very firm, and pricea are well kept up. New Zealand mutton haa advanoed to 6£d per lb ; lamb, 7Jd to 7£d. Tallow is firm — Best mutton, 28s to 28s 6d ; best beef, 27s to 27s 6d. Sugar is somewhat weaker. German beet is now quoted at 28s 6d. Sydney, June 21. 65 tons of New Zealand wheat have been delivered here this week.
