The itotomahana had to leave and face the gale. Heavy floods are general, and the lower part of Hobart is threatened with inundation. Sydnky, June 13. At the Anglican Syn>d the following names were meutioned for the Primacy, the Bishop of Manchester, tha Bishop of Truro, the Bishop of Adelaide, Archdeacon Farrar, of Westminster, and Archdeacon Long, of Auckland. The proceedings are reported to have been of a rather stormy nature. One firm has bought all the sugar iv the market, and holds for £40 (for best China whites). The ship Gatherer has arrived from San Francisco, with a cargo of 2100 tone of wheat. There is a very strong demand for sugar, the market being almost bare, excepting in Colonial Company's stocks. For M auritious £36 was realised for actual sales. China sugars realised £34. The Hou. James White's horses, Narewella and Kirkhain, have been shipped.
