Martin. — Claim £4 ls. Mr Cooke for plaintiff asked for the caseto be adjourned. Application granted to Wednesday July 10. judgment summonses. T. R. Taylor v. H. Norberg.— Claim £1 12s 7d. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff. Qr- > dered to be paid within 14 days or 4 days, imprisonment in Wanganui gaol. D. R. Lewers v. D. E. Amesbury. — i Claim £14 Os 6d. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff, i Defendant deposed : He bad no property I in Feilding ; he lived on the proceeds of an estate at Home ; his income was paut i half-yearly ; since Bth November last hae! > received £31 19s ; was expecting more? every mail ; had earned very little money . in Feilding; had no regular employment; L had no property of any description ; had: paid £12 in back debts, because hethought it better to pay ten small accounts [ than one big one ; had parted with a horse to pay a butchering account of £10 ; has a wife and five children to support; had j not dealt with S. J. Thompson for two I years ; owed Cobbe and Darragh £22 105 v and owed Pringle £8 or £9 ; was about £120 in debt, and expected £180 : the* property was in Chancery and he waa only paid in dribs and drabs, payments , were now 12 months in arrears. The R.M. said it had not been proved the defendant had had sufficient meansto pay the judgment. Mr Sandilands was asked if he would 1 take an order for payment in instalments,. \ but he said he preferred the case to stand as it was. Prior and" Sandilands v. D. Hughey. — Claim £2 ls. Mr Cooke for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiffs and costs 7s. T. R. Taylor v. Reupara Ngarino.— - Claim £23 3s 2d. Same v. Hoari Hakaraia. — Claim £26---5s 9d. Adjourned for a month to arrange proposed terms of settlement. T. R. Taylor v. Reremoana. — Claim £8 10s ld. To be paid in two months, or iv default ten days in Wanganui gaol. Interpreters fees were allowed to Mr Baker. DEBT CASS. R. Neilson v. E. Dickson. — Claim 15s 6d. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff. 15s 6d had been paid into court. Defendant objected to pay costs because she had tendered payment the money. Judgment for plaintiff for the costs 12s. H. S. White v. Margaret Johnston. — Claim £10. Mr Cooke for plaintiff anA Mr Sandilands for defendant. This was a claim for trespass by stock and pigs and. damage in the garden of the plaintiff — £5 for trespass and £5 damage to hia garden. 10s had been paid into court by defendant. [Left Sitting.]
