Wellington hemp is quoted at £33 10s; Auckland, from L32 to L34 10-\ Complaints are being innde as to the quality The tone of the tallow market is firm. Best mutton has risen, and is now quoted at 29s to 29s 6d ; best beef, 27s to 27s 6d. Sydney, June 1. New Zealand wheat is quoted, nominally, at 4a 4d to 4s 7d. Mrlbourne. June 1. Heavy business is being done m oats up to 4s 3d ex wharf. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limitod) have received the following cable message from its London office, dated 31st May, 1889: -" Tallow — There is less trade demand. Good mutton is worth £27 10s, and good beef £26 10s per ton. New Zealand frozen meat — Quotations are unchanged since last report. Mutton — Market is firm. There is an increased demand for New Zealand lamb. Beef— Market is improved. New Zealand hemp - - Medium quality is worth £31 10s per ton.
