False Report

On Sunday morning Mr McGlacken reported to Constable Meehan that Mr George Galbraith, who was negotiating the pux'chase ot Mr McGlacken's property on the Kimbolton road, had gone into the bush on Saturday morning, and had not since been seen. Constable Meehan and Mr McGlacken were out all day searching but without result. Yesterday morning we telegraphed the fact to Mr A. W. Brown, of Wellington, who was acting as agent for Mr Galbraith, and received the following reply, " Mistake, Galbraith here comfortable with wife and family. Arrived on Saturday night." Of cour.se everybody was glad to hear the good news, but it is generality condemned as a mistake that Mr Galbraith should not have given Mr Glacken notice of bis intention to leave for Wellington.
