The Manawatu Times of yesterday calls on Mr Macarthur, the chairman, and the members representing wards 5 and 6 of the Manchester Road District, to use their best efforts to complete communication in the direction of Palmerston. Evidently the editor knows nothing about the topography of the district he is writing about. The roads leading towards Palmerston in wards 5 and 6 of the Manchester Road District are: The Taonui road, Nannestead's road, Bunnythorpe road, and the Bunnyfchorpe-Ashurst road. Two of these roads have been made for nine years to the boundary of the Manchester Block and Road district, and the other two are provided for out of the loan lately voted for. Once carried to the Manchester boundary, the duty of extending these roads, or their construction, devolves on the Manawatu Road Board, which body, as we said the other day, the Times mnst stir up if it wants these roads finished as f&r ac Palmerston.
