An interim dividend of 10 per cent, per annum has been declared by the National Insurance Company. This Day. Marsh Browne, a great Ngapuhi chief, died rather suddenly. He was a recent convert to Mormonism. Thomas B. Hill, a well known chemist of Auckland, has filed bis schedule. Oamaru. Ma* 20A sad fatal accident occured at Allday Bay, about nine miles from Oamaru, this evening. Mr Hamilton, a storekeeper at Kakanui, was driving with his son aged eight, across a creek, when they met a waggon. The trap they were in was thrown into the water over an embankment, and the boy, who was clinging to it was drowned. The trap fell on top of him. Assistance was procured, but too late to be of any use.

Henry Dean, a young man working at a sawmill at Kumara, injured by a falling tree, died to-night. He never recovered consciousness.

John Nolan, a miner at Bluespur, was killed in his Bluicing claim this morning by a fall of earth. He was only partially buried, but the falling stones struck him. He never spoke afterwards, and died as soon as he was extricated from the dirt.

They also hold large stocks of Indian and China Teas, which they can supply in any quantity at from 1/6 per lb.
