Eastern news per Bntiah India Company's steamer :— A destructive fire broke out »t Ichang, six hundred houses being destroyed and three hundred families rendered destitute. A. strong and unknown disease has ap peared at Minna, Japan. The mortality exceeds that of cholera and it is even a m ore terrible death, which in most instances ensues after 24 hours' of intense suffering. Out of sixty-six cases reported forty deaths are recorded. An accident occurred on the TienstinTaku Eailway, in which one European and ton Chinamen were killed.
