The drought is broken up, heavy rain haying fallen all over the district. Auckland, This Day. The Colonial Sugar Company has made another advance of ten shillings per ton 0:1 all grades of sugars. The increases in five weeks amount to 30s per ton. Gihbobne, May 10. A Maori girl named Maria Munu. eight years of a#e, was burned to death at Waipu on Monday. It is attributed to carelessness on the part of her parents.
