Football
The Feilding Football Club journeyed to Marton on Saturday last to try conclusions with the Martou Club, and scored another win by a goal and 3 tries (6 points) to Afarton's 2 tries. Soon after starting play Parr secured the leather, and by a dodgy run got over the line. Robinson took the kick, but failed to add to the score. The-play was mostly in the Marton 25's. Near half time Gregory secured two tries in succession by fast forward play* which was much admired by the spectators. The kicks at the goal proved unsuccessful. In the second apell Marton played up well, and scored two tries,-, but were unable to place a goal, Free kicks were the order, of the day. Near the end of the spell Henry made a clean run in from the half way flap, passing all the opposing backs in succession. From thia Robinson kicked a goal. Shortly after time was called. For Feilding, Parr, Henry, and Harmer did good work among the backs, while it would be hard to single out the forwards, all playing splendidly. Woon, McDonald, Harrison, and Tennant played best for Marton.
