We are informed that a scheme for connecting the Bristol and English Channels will be- brought prominently before the pnbhc in. the course of n few months. The route fixed l-pon by ll « en« gineers who have recently explored the district, is from- Stolford in Bridgwater BftV, passing through the town of Bridgwater, Langport ll minster, and Chard, to Seaton, on the English Channel. The total length of the 'Jlhnrd range of hills, the work of excavating, &c, for tbe whole distance will ba comparatively easy, no engineering difficulties present ing themselves.
