The Wellington Post publishes the following :— The Govern went have notified to officers commanding districts that no expenses in connection with the transport of men to camp «an be paid out of company funds which have accumulated from capitation All expenses attending camp outside the district are to be borne by the men themselves. Commenting on this action of the Authorities the Wanganui Herald aays : — Another little check to Volun/fcjqring is providing by that indefatigable destructor- of the Volunteer system of the colony, Air- Feigus, who has now in his wisdom, ordered that company funds are not to be used for transport purposes by those attending encampments. If Mr Fergus would only say outright; that he does uot want Volunteers at all, and will give no encouragement, his actions would be understood, hut his present position his contemptible. Members of the Manchester Rifles -who are going at their own expense, 14/6, \n iI" Leave the 6 p.m. vain for ■Wanganui pri Thursday .
