Cricket

A meeting of gentlemen was held in Hastie's Hotel on Thursday last with the object of forming a County Cricket Club Vbout 25 were present, Mr Macarthur. J.H.E., presiding. The whole of those m attendance subscribed their names a. c members of the proposed Club. Mr F. Y. fjethbridge offered to put a field, containing six acres, at' the disposal of the Club an act of generosity which was gratefullv accepted. The meeting was adjourned until the 20th instant.
