Christie, who was sentenced to four months* imprisonment on Monday, arising out of his connection with the Colonial Investment Company, is void, owing to the word " March" being inserted in place of " April." A writ of Habeas Corpus will be applied for to secure the release of Mr Christie. Auckland, April 10. By the Manapouri, for Sydney, 11 natives from Tahiti left en route for the Paris Exhibition, where they are to give illustrations of the customs, &c, of the South Sea islanders.
