The Manchester' Rifles will parade for drill and inspection on Friday, next (undress uniform). There will |>a a meeting of the Finance committee after parade. . At the Blenheim meeting j ustbef ore the teams match, one or two of the competitors* who were in their mufti, asked Captain Sommerville whether they might have their prizes sent to them, as they wanted to get away early, and besides had no presentable uniform in which to appear on a public platform. In reply, Captain Sommerville took occasion to deliver a vigorous address to ;the men who gathered round from all directions. He said the^iignity of the Association, &nd indeed its veryeiistence, depended upon those belonging to it being present in fitting costume at its publio demonstrations. "He felt strongly about this, and he desired to impress it upmrabem that "&?? ;. owed it to the Asmeiation to keep V.y its reputation, and -titraf'if a pri?ej was not worth coming to get, ii.wßs'.not worth having. The remarks of the-paptain were received with general approval. Palmeraton, Feilding, and Marlon will send about 120 men to the Easter encampment at Nelson*
