SENTENCE QF DEATH. (PBB UNITED PBBBS ASSOCIATION) GiBbokne, March 28. This morning', when the Court opened, Mr Gully summed up the evidence for the prosecution. "... His Honoroarefally reviewed the evidence. At 1 30 the jury retired, and at 4;45 brought in a Verdict of guilty.. The prisoner bad nothing- to say why.thft sentence of death should not be passed on him. Bis Honor passed the usual sentence of death. The prisoner never gave an expression of emotion throughout the sentence, and walked calmly away to the gaol. He will be taken to Napier for execution. •;;- ■ ;■
