The Rawson Enquiry
(PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION".} New Plymouth. March 25.
The Hawson Commission was re sumed this morning. Mr Jones' first charge against Judge Rawson consists of corruption, perjury, partiality, malice, conspiracy, denying the existence of a Most High Being, general conduct, and that his want of sobriety uufits him to command the respect due to a gentleman holding the position of Judge and Magistrate. The whole of the morning was taken up in the discussion of the charges with the Commissioners, and Mr Jones is now opening his own case.
At the Raw son inquiry to-day Mr Joshua Jones' charges were taken. Mr Jones called Mr Eawson as a wi « nass to give evidence, lut Mr Samuel said Mr Eawson, acting under his instruction, declined to submit himself for examination. Mr Jones then said it would be impossible for him to pro ceed with his charges if he could not get the evidence he wanted. The Commission is, therefore, now practically closed.
