Feilding Football Club

The annual general meeting of the above was held at the Empire Hotel on Thursday night. There was a good attendance, Mr F. Y. Lethbridge presiding.

The minutes of the previous annual meeting were read and confirmed.

The secretary, Mr J. E. Henry, read the balance-sheet, which showed that after paying all liabilities the Club had a credit balance of 3s lOd

The following gentlemen were elected officers for the current year: — Mr F. Y. Lethbridge, president ; Mr P. Bartholomew and Mr William Bailey, vice- presidents ; Mr J. Henry, secretary and treasurer; Mr George Saywell, captain ; Mr Archie Gregory, deputy captain ; Messrs A. W. Lovejoy, Booth, Parr, Hartgill, G. Saywell, J. Henry, and B. Whisker, managing committee ; Messrs Hartgill, Saywell, and Henry, match committee.

The annual subscription was fixed at 5s per member.

The question of altering the colors of the Club was discussed at considerable length, and ultimately it was decided to adopt black with a silver shield on the breast.

A number of new members joined, and there are now about forty names on the roll.

It was decided to open the season on Monday next hy a match between teams to be chosen by Messrs Saywell and Fowler, to be played on the Oral.

The Chairmau poiuted out that as they would have to meet the Epuni team on the 20th of April it would be necessary for the local men to commence practice at once if they hoped to score a win.

The usual vote of thanks to the chair terminated the proceedings.
