E. Pilcher v. Alfred Pincent.— i Claim £2. Mr Staite for plaintiff. Mrs Pilcher, wife of plaintiff, proved: the claim, which was for milk. and butter supplied. Judgment for plaintiff and costs 6/-> and solicitors fee 10/6 was allowed. BESOTTING CATTLE. M. Dais was charged by the Ranger with rescuing 3 calves when beinjf driven to be impounded. J. T. Foster, ranger, deposed : He was driving 3 calves on the 9th instat the pound gate ; had a bull and a steer in the pound ; was shifting them to make room for the calves when Dais came across the paddock ; ha told witness he wanted the calves; told him he could have them for 1/-* while witness went to unlock the gate defendant drove away the calves. Defendant said the calves ran awaj from the Ranger, towards home, and. he (defendant) ran behind them. The R.M. said the Impounding Aot was very severe, and defendant could be fined up to £50, but this time he would be dismissed with a caution. erviL oases. M. Keen v. W. Broughton.— CJaiift £1 16/6.
