Fatal Accident at Westport

Westpobt, March H. r While crossing Fox's river, between Brighton and Char'eston, on Saturday morning, in a chair, the rope brokea id three occupants were thrown into the stream, and carried out to sea by the flood which was running at the time. They were named William Eyan, aged 50, John Nevin, aged 12, and Margaret Nevin, aged 15. The bodies have not been recovered. The heavy rain flooded the rivers on Friday and Saturday. This Day. No trace has been found of the bodies of the persons drowned at the Fox river on Saturday. The mother of the children^ Niven witnessed the accident from the river bank. The children were crossing to milk the cows, and Eyan was assisting to draw the cage across.
