STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK BEPOBT. Bulls, February 28. Pressure of business prevented our report being forwarded last week. The sales of sheep have been exceptionally large and there still seems a good demand. During February we yarded over 42,200 by far the larger majority of which were sold under the hammer. At Awahuri on the 19th our sale did not go off briskly from the fact that 5000 more sheep were yarded than advertised, consequently the attendance of buyers was not in accordance wHfc> the supply of sheep, whereas at FeUding, yesterday, the attendance owing to the sheep being alvertised was excellent, resulting in' a capital sale nearly the whole of just on 7000 yarded being sold under the hammer. We quote as follows : — Sheep. — Awahuri: 2-tooth Romney ewes, 8/6 ;. mixed ages, 7/- ; Lincoln ewes, f.m., 7/- ; f.m. ewes, 3/9 to 6/- ; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 8/5; lambs, 4/10 to 6/8. Mrßruce's farm : 2-tooth wethers, 9/1 ; 2-tooth ewes, 8/9. Feilding : Lincoln ewes. 6 and 8- tooth, S/ll to 7/1 ; 2-tooth ewes, 7/3 to 9/6 ; Romney ewes, 6/6 to 6/10 ; f.m. ewes. 3/9 to 6/3 ; shorn lambs, 4/6 to 5/- ; woolly lambs, 4/10 to 5/6; 2-tooth mixed, 8/7; fat ewes, 6/1; Lincoln rams, l£ to 3£ guineas. Cattle.— Good entries, aaleseffected it low prices.
