« (per united press associa-noit) Wellington, March 1. The Minister of Mines received a telegram stating that gold had been discovered in the township of Denniston, near Westport. Claims have been pegged off, and the miners have commenced working. The Customs returns for February amounted to .£127,212 Os 2d, as against .£105,973 0s 2d for the same month of last year.
