In the Wanganui Education district during last year the percentage of paß-es o i the roll number rose from 40 to 44, while the percentage of failure fell from 27 to 22. The percentage of those ex. ammed in the standards rose from 67 to 72, or omitting the exceptions it rose from 62 to 77 per cent. The average per cent* age of passes was 82.
