Tins Day. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Board was held to-day. The minutes of the last ordinary meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE. Prom the Clerk Wairarapa North County Council, enclosing copy of resolution re legalising all public roads on which public money has been expended. From J L. Smith, applying for a renewal of his slaughter license. From J. Slipper, asking the Board to lease the road at the back of Clive street. Bunny thorpe. From B, K. Reed, offering three plans for the settlement of the difficulty between himself and the Board. From Auditor-General, account for £5 6s 8d for 16 hours auditing. From C, "Warne, giving the Engineer' permission to cut two drains, from the Pohangina road to an old watercourse, providing the Board undertakes to keep the drains and watercourse open. From G. H. Page, Ashurst, asking permission to erect a verandah in front of his shop. From J. H. Hankins, enclosing bill of costs. From Osborne, Gieson & Co. (2), asking particulars as to price of the plant of the Manawatu Gorge Ferry. From John T. Walker, Ashurst, calling the attention of the Board to drain opposite his sections, Nos. 48, 49, and 50. From P. & J. Bartholomew, offering 2s per ton for the sole right of cutting the flax on the roads of the Board. From the Colonial Treasurer, forwarding statement of the amount received by the Board under the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, ISBS. From the Secretary Charitable Aid Board, Wanganui, asking for particulars of expenditure last year by the Board. From the Eangitikei County Clerk stating the total valuation of the County outside the Borough of Marton and Town Districts of Turakina and Lethbridge is From Clerk Feilding Council: applying for an order for the Hospital for in invalid.
