In answer to a question, the Chairman said that the' Special Rate must be Collected, but the General Rate would be lowered after this year, so that the whole rate would be very little, if any, higher than the general rate is nowProposed by Mr Dixon, seconded by MrMvYL. Bailey, and carried unr auimously, That this meeting approves ofthe poll- oeiug taken for the proposed loan, and pledges itself to support it. ' The poll is to be taken on Monday, March 4th, .1889, at Messrs Bailey Bros.' sawmill, Taonui.
