At the wool auctions to-day 12,000 bales were sold. February 20. At the wool auctions American buyers secured 6000 bales of an Australian shipment, The N.Z.L. & M.A. Comoany have received the following telegram from their Loudon ofiice; dated the 10th instant: — "The sales closed firmly. The following adyances since close of last sales may be noted as having been established during the series : — Superior greasy merino, £d per lb ; combing washed, ld per lb; superior scoured merino, _-d to Id per lb; clothing washed, per lb ; fine greasy crossbred, £d to Id per lb ; fine washed crossbred, £d to ld per lb ; greasy merino lambs, £d per lb. For coarse crossbred and crosshred lambs, the market is unchanged. Medium and inferior greasy merino has declined £d per lb. The sales comprise about 235,000.
