From all quarters of the Colony comes news of the rich yield of the grain aud root crops. la the grain belt of Canterbury the calculated returns show up handsomely. In this same district there are about 800 acros of potatoes, with au average of five tons to the acre, and about 1600 acres of beans and peas, with exceptional yields.
