He v was away in the afternoon} and on iris '•■'•'' return all that war left of his wbare was a heap of ashes, jind so he lost everything he possessed in the way of clothes, &o. Bush fires have been the order of tbe day of late, but thai last rain put a stop to burning for a week or two, I have neither seen nor ■ heard of a first-class bum this season as yet. . Our school will be finished to-day, I believe, and a good substantial build-, ing it is. The only thing that we want now is a teacher, and then the school can be opened at last, and I think it is about time, as it is now about 18 months since it was applied' ~ '- ? for. , ■ r.-r-.-.
