Wellington, January 30. Beef was entered in insufficient supply for trade requirements. The pens contained some large-framed and rather coarse bullocks, which sold at relatively lower rates than the small beef. The cows were medium. Bheep made late rates. Lambs of inferior i) medium quality brought satisfactory prices. No pig-a were penned. Bullock beef made 12/- and 13/- the lOOlbs, and cow beef 11/-. Cattle— Bulocks, £5 2/6 to £5 7/6, average £5 6/10; steers (average), £4 15/- ; cows, £3 2/6 to £3 10/- averaging £3 5/-. Sheep— Wethers. 11/-; ewes, 8/3 ; ewes, 8/3 ; lambs, 6/6 to 7/3.
