Welling* on, January 23. Beef came forward in large supply, generally of light and fair quality. The cows were small and of medium quality, and sold well. Sheep entered in limited numbers, but lambs were in short supply, there not being sufficient for the trade. Store pigs made full values, but baconers were neglected. Cattle.— Bullocks, £4 17s 6d to £5 12s 6d, averaging £5 6s ; others, £4 15s to £6 2s 6d, averaging £± 16 ; cows, 48 2s 6d to £8 10s. Beef made 13s 6d the lOOIbB, and cows 11s. Sheep. — For the best line of wethers 10s 9d was refused ; ewes, 9s 8d ; light halfbred ewes, 7b 7d ; lambs, 7s Id to 7s 7d. Pigs. — Small porkers, 16s; stores, 9s 6d to 11s 6d; small pigs, 6s 3d.
