The Defence Minister has informed Captain Somerville that 50,000 rounds of .ammunition (Ely's we presume) will be given by the Government for the N.Z.B.A. meeting. This is a very acceptable.donation, and as the annual grant of .£SOO was voted, it will just make the difference between success and failure — meeting or no meeting. Captain Sommerville has, at the request of the Government, sent in a report on the Victorian Centennial meeting and the doings of our representatives.
