Johnsonvill*:, December 19. The yards were well filled with stock, and some heavy cowa came forward. The rest of the beef was from inferior to good and brought about 13/6 the 1001 b. Sheep were slightly lower than last week. Lambs were penned in full numbers, and fat lambs cold fairly well, but a large proportion of the entry were only stores, which are not saleable at these yards. Clients should be careful in their selection of lambs sending only those that are fat. Pigs were easier, and stock sold at quotations below : — Cattle. —One pen of best bullocks made £7 ; others, £5 5s to £6, averaging £5 10/6 ; prime show cows, £6 2/6 to £7 7/6 ; inferior light bullocks, £4 2/6 to £5. Sheep.— Wethers, 10/9 to 11/6; email light wethers, 8/5 to 9/- ; best ewes, 9/8 to 9/1.1 ; mfeiior, 7/5 ; fat lambs, 6/9 to 8/- ; stores, 8/6 to 4/4. Pigs — Baooners, 30/- to 40/- ; pork-oi-s, 23/- to 27/- ; stores 10/ to 16/6 ; small pigs, 5/- to 8/-.
