The War in Samoa
1 FEB UNITRD PKKBS ASSOCI ATIO:T. i WklmnciTO.n, December 18. H.M.S. Lizard has arrived from Samoa, and brings intelligence of another tierce engagement hetwpen tho troops of Mataafu and Tamasese. On November 29th Mutase's entrenched position at Lutunu and Vailele Bay and after a sanguinary contest carried all but one of th c forts. The estimated losses on both sides amount, to about 100, and it is reckoned that the same number were wounded. Ammunition on both sides in running short.
