The following hints to senders of Christmas cards appears at the post office :— "Persons sending complimentary cards, &c., by book post are reminded that they must be open for examination. ' Open at the .ends' does not necessarily mean 'exposed.' If in an envelope the flap should be turned inwards. If enclosed in a wrajjptfr they should he tied with string each%ay, both ends being folded over as in an ordinary parcel. — J. H. Stevens."
