Messrs J. C, Morey and Co. advertise a grand Christmas sale now on. A notice re closing certain bankrupt estates appears elsewhere. We have to acknowledge receipt of Messrs Stevens and Gorton's calendar of of stock sales for 1889. A meeting of the Feilding Cricket Club will be held at Light's Hotel to-morrow night. Mr Alfred Eado has just opened up a large consignment of furniture for Christmas to which he requests attention in his advertisement to-day. Mr James Hugli has a notice in to-day intimating that he has a fresh stock of jewellery, &c, now on view in Palmerston, suitable for Christmas presents.
