A M.L.C. Fined for Fighting

(PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, This Day. H. W. Swanson, M.L.C, and Henry Cannop were charged under the Police Offences Act with fighting in Queen street on the Sth instant, and fined 40s each and costs. The affair arose out of Cannop accusing Swanson of taking .£2OO a year of public money. Blows were exchanged. A lady stepped between the two combatants, and two policemen, who witnessed the affray, made a case of it.
