The Manchester Rifles will parade for inspection to-morrow evening. The Oamaru Rifles have challenged all the Volunteer companies in the colony to fire them a mateh — thirty men aside. The inspections for the corps in the West Coast Battalion are fixed for the following dates: — Palmerston and Feilding on the 7th January, Marton Bth, Wanganui Navals 9th, Wanganui City Rifles 10th at 5.80 a.m., Wanganui Artillery Cadets on the same day at 2.80 p.m., and Wanganui Rifles same night at 7 o'clock, Patea Rifles on the 11th in the-' morning, and Hawera on the same night, and New Plymouth Rifles on the 12th.
