_P"JR UNITED PBEBB ASSOCIATION.! London, November 24. New Zealand wheat, long-berried, ex store, is selling at 44s Bd. Business is very restricted. Cargoes in iron bottoms are quoted at 44s 3d. Fourteen hundred bags of New Zealand wheat have been sold at 4s 8d to 5s 6d per bushel. Famine prices prevail in the country districts. STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK BEPOBT. Bulls, November 24. In spite of the great fall in cattle during the last mouth or six weeks, we had a very successful little sale at Awahuri last Tuesday. The yards were well filled and we sold most of the cattle and all the sheep excepting one pen. Cattle brought lower figures than at recent sales, but there was very fair bidding for those we were able to sell. Shorn sheep are in good demand, more particularly young sheep, whether wethers or ewes, are very saleable. We quote : — Cattle : 4-year bullocks, £4 2/6 ; 3- ' year steers, £3 17/- to £3 9/- ; 2 to 2J- I year Bteers, £2 6/- to £2 8/-. SHEEP : Hoggets in wool, 9/6 ; fat | shorn sheep, 9/4 ; shorn hoggets, chiefly [ wethers, 6/8.
