Straying Cattle

Sik,— Will you kindly allow me space in your rahiable paper to answer » local which appeared on the 13th, instant in reference to cattle having been allowed to stray uninterruptedly in Queen street. The cattle were not astray, but were on their way home to be milked. The gate was not broken" by the cattle. It had been broken some time previously, and was lying on the ground before the oattle came J along. With reference to the damages ] I fail to see where any has been done.
