WELLINGTON MARKETS. Wellington, November 10. George Thomas and Co. report as follows : — The oat markets in Southera centres are showing increased firmness, and every indication points to a rise of 2i to 3d per bushel locally, on the absorption of present stocks ; prices are now 2s 6d to 2s 7d for short and 2s 6d for long feed per bushel. ; Advices from Canterbury and Otago millers are to hand, withdrawing present quotations for flour, with the intention of issuing at increased rates ; this change presumably is based upon advices from Australia, where prices have hardened through anticipated failure of crops caused by the drought. We quote flour roller £11, and stone process, £10 for sacks; pollard, £4; bran, £3 15s ; maize, 3s 6d ; feed barley, 2s 9d ; Cape do, 3s 6d ; pearl barley, 20s. Old potatoes of really good condition and quality are not plentiful, and Oamaru growth are worth £4 10s ; inferior samples abound and rule from 50s to 70s. Beans, 3s 3d; field peas, 3s 6d ; split peas, £15; onions, American, in cases, 20s per cwt. The arrivals of spring products include new potatoes, round Id ; kidneys, 2d per lb ; greeu peas, 9d to lOd per peck; rhubarb, 3s to 4s 6d per dozen ; gooseberries, 4d per quart ; Fiji bananas, from 4s to 6s per bunch ; pines, 13s to 15s per case; peanuts, 2£d per lb.
