There i« an increased weakness on the average of English wheat is quoted at 32s 3d. The American visible supply has receded to 33,750,000 bushels. The Parnell Commission have had under examination witnesses of various classes, the evidence proving that numerous outrages and boycotting were the result of the action taken by the Land League. A reporter of the New York Herald deposed that in 1879 Mr Parnell revised an interview he had with him. It is estimated that the miners' .*mke has cost the mine masters and men over £150,000Information has been received that Dr Drummond, the levanter from Ash field New South Wales, was arrested at Colombo on board the North German Company's steamer Hohenstanfen, which left Sydney for Bremen via Colombo and other ports on October 12th. The prisoner, seeing that all means of escapewere hopeless, took a heavy dose of person, and within five minutes deaths resulted. The pseudo medico was wanted on charge of larceny of L 6500 belonging to his wife. A large sum of money, more than sufficient to cover the wife's loss, was discovered among the effects of the deceased.
